Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: JeCours on July 04, 2008, 11:02:03 AM the bad part about parkour/freerunning bloopers is that they probably hurt like a bitch.
4:38 was epic. Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Cloud on July 04, 2008, 12:20:51 PM nice man, loved your wall side flip, one of the cleanest ones i've ever seen!

(like in the park at the beginning) Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Casey "Loki" Kandel on July 04, 2008, 12:35:23 PM the bad part about parkour/freerunning bloopers is that they probably hurt like a bitch. 4:38 was epic. QFT. Great vid man. You should add more of the fight scene type stunts. Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Ozzi on July 04, 2008, 02:03:05 PM 4:30 you must have some very strong ankles.
Great stuff man. More freerunning that stunts but nicely indeed. Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Sat Santokh on July 04, 2008, 02:52:27 PM Is it weird I came just from the title?

!!!!!! some amazing stuff there!!! Are those front fulls you were doing? or dleg gyros? (like in the park at the beginning) I'm pretty sure they were the double leg ones. 4:30 you must have some very strong ankles. Great stuff man. More freerunning that stunts but nicely indeed. Yeah it is mostly free running, but my main purpose for the video was to use to help me get into stunt work. So I figured I would use "stunt" in it. Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Laurie [lauriejennifer] Jennifer on July 05, 2008, 09:28:53 AM I always look forward to seeing stuff from you, and I was not disappointed in the least. Thank you so much for posting this.
At the beginning of this video, I was making mental notes of the parts I really liked so I could leave specific comments (such as, "the such-and-such at :00 demonstrated great control!)... but I gave up, because it was all ridiculous and I would have ended up commenting on practically every 10 seconds. *Excellent* bails, btw. Clearly you do everything as all or nothing. And when you come up "nothing," it's hilarious (and painful) to see. And +1 for freerunning in spandex. :-Sarcasm You keep getting better and better. Your diligent and creative training is really paying off. I hope you keep it up. Clearly, you are enjoying the results-- and others are, too. I hope you make it big in the stunt world, if that's the career you're pursuing. **EDIT!** Oh, I remember what else I was going to say: Your confidence and technique in your rolls is exceptional, bar none. Most people going after the "big stuff" like you demonstrate in this video neglect a) the conditioning; and b) the perfection in the basics that it takes to be successful. You clearly have the conditioning, but what's even more impressive is the solid way you've nailed the basics (landing, rolling, etc.). That shows self-control and diligence in training, not to take on too much too fast, and to be willing to drill even the "little stuff" until perfection. And you apply the same principle to the more complicated and difficult "moves" as well. I may be making some assumptions here, but just seems (from this and other vids of yours) like that's how you roll* in your training: repetition and diligence (not to mention creativity). *Pun intended Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Cord Zwirner on July 05, 2008, 01:39:16 PM Incredible video, keep up the good work. By the way, That save at 4:38 was insane!
Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Jus7in on July 05, 2008, 01:45:45 PM yep, you are teh awesome. I hope you get some stunt work thrown your way, you deserve it.
Title: Re: Ronnie Shalvis 08 Stunt Sampler Post by: Acewall on July 06, 2008, 09:14:23 AM Ridiculous. There's really not a moment that I can really point out as being more amazing than anything else. I wish you luck on finding stunt work.
