A shot I found while browsing the gallery and found Steve Dahlin's album. He's the traceur in the photo, at a spot in Chicago that I'm sure many of us have been to. Actual photo was taken by the very talented James Ferrell.

From In the Parkour community, there are tons of different kinds of people. We come from all sorts of separate backgrounds which makes for a rich and diverse experience. But, is there something that we all share? Could it be possible that we are more alike than previously thought? These are the questions that this study intends to answer.

Exercise equipment is not limited to your local gym or recreation center. It
can be found anywhere and at any time. However, to see the equipment that is
all around you, you must change the way you view your environment. As a
traceur, you already have a head start on gaining this perspective; you see
obstacles as opportunities for movement. A natural variation of this
perspective is to also see obstacles as exercise equipment. An every day,
common rail, bench, tree, or wall can all be turned into an incredibly
versatile piece of exercise equipment. In this edition of Urban Exercise
Equipment, we will explore the exercise possibilities of a basic rail.
Keeping a daily/weekly training journal is always a good idea to keep you aware of your strengths and weaknesses as well as your areas of opportunity. Many traceur around the world keep a journal to help them excel quickly and work on those things that needs some improvement.

It sounds like David Belle has called a meeting. From David Belle's blog (translated into English):
" Parkour has become a victim of its own success. Have emerged related discipline, there are new art Co, which each time is given a new name and is trying to pass a new way ...
Some of the practitioners of
these disciplines, which came from parkour, full of good will okrzykują

Channel News Asia interviewed Shi Zhanlong, leader of City Monkey, in this article. It's quite a positive article, and it talks about the importance of safety and solid foundations, which is great!
Nice job, Shi Zhanlong. Keep up the good work in Beijing!
Hawaii Parkour has a mascot, someone who comes out to train at almost every jam and is as dedicated as anyone else in the state. This is a video Ozzi cut together of their mascot, Roxy.
Over a 150 traceurs showed up from across the world to Rendezvous 3 in London for a two day event of teaching from Parkour Generations and several members of the original Yamakasi. The event was a cold, wet, and rainy success with the first day's training space supplied graciously from the South Bank Center and the second from the Westminster Sports Academy. There were four American's who went and you can read from both Nick Maurer and Tyson Cecka on their blogs.
US News and World Report featured Parkour in their "50 Ways to Improve Your Life." By suggesting people "Add some obstacles to [their] Jog," US News did a good job introducing people to Parkour. They described the importance of safety and suggested people check out the forums and tutorials here on APK!
From all of us at American Parkour, we want to wish the world a Happy Holiday season. For those of you traveling, we wish you safe flights and car rides. To all our fellow Parkour and Freerunning Communities around the country and around the world, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa.
To fulfil a tradition that has been ongoing since I started practicing Parkour, I would like to share with you the newest installment of Santa Parkour, direct from Finland! Be sure to watch both parts or you will be very...... very confused. Enjoy!
SFPK teamed up with Surfriders to clean up Ocean Beach in San Francisco. It was wet and rainy, but all good. Surfriders had a rep out that provided gloves, bags and granola bars even though they cancelled their session due to rain, but they wanted to help SFPK out, and good thing since a few others (non-SFPK) showed up to participate as well.
Spent over an hour cleaning up garbage, broken glass, cig butts and all kinds of other crap. People seriously need to stop littering on the beach!! Ended up being several bags of garbage. Nice work guys! Every bit counts.
Beretta ('shopped in, he was way on the other side of the beach when we took this), T.K. (not 17!), ANDREY, NoSole, Meatlad, Corndogg, Adroit.

Chad Zwadlo recently hosted a workshop in Minnesota. He had about 45 people turn out and went over basic jumps, landing,
rolling, simple vaults, precision jumps, cat grabs, underbars, and the
basic wallflip. Everyone seemed to have a great time and he's already
been asked to do more seminars in the future.
Great job, Chad! Sounds like a great event and it's great you're getting a good image out there. Keep up the hard work!
Justin "Buster" Altshuler for Deco Drive and A3 network contacted
Miami Parkour about shooting a fun chase scene and interview/demonstration of
parkour and freerunning in Miami. We gladly met up with him Saturday the 13th and shot the following report. (You'll see that they picked and chose parts of the interviews
to highlight what they were looking for in terms of a story
guys) Still a fun project and great experience.
The chase scene features Adrian (APK Alliance ) and Spider, and the rest of MIAPK is in the other portion.
This video, from the 1930s, just goes to show that people really have been doing Parkour long since it was given a name. This video has made the rounds before, but it's been really popular the past few days.
