American Parkour's 'Leave No Trace' co-ordinator Courtney Venuti has been doing an awesome job! Yesterday she organized Philadelphia's 4th and largest leave no trace event to date. With over 40 people in attendance they cleaned up a lot of trash and spread the word about our initiative.

"This was the largest Leave No Trace event Philadelphia Parkour has seen! There wasn't a ton to clean at this location but we were still able to get the word out about what we were doing and have a great time jamming!"
When all was said and done they cleaned up "a ton" of bags of trash along with a suitcase, an empty toolbox, a bicycle tire, and a bag of diapers.
They had a group warm up and jammed at LOVE park, city hall, and The Franklin Institute before groups split up and started exploring the city!
Everyone enjoyed soft pretzels from the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory and brownies made by one of our Traceurs. The event saw visitors from the NY community, and the support of organizations and gyms from Southern New Jersey Rowan Parkour, Pinnacle Parkour, and The Warrior Lab! Even the owner of 'Harder Faster Stronger' came out!
We couldn't have asked for a better event! Next spring will be our 5th LNT event, hopefully more can make it!
This is the fifth LNT event that has been run in Philadelphia. The LNT co-ordinator Courtney Venut took over recently and has definitely hit the ground running. She's doing a great job and the rest of us at APK can't wait to see how much she'll organize when she has the whole spring and summer.

Coutney Venuti: I am coming up on 2 years of training next month. The entire time I've loved everything about the community and how I can apply the mental aspects of parkour into my everyday life. Its helped me become a better person overall. My goals are to keep progressing and to grow the community and hold onto the closeness that it has. I love being a part of APK! An organization that promotes safe training along with all the values in parkour I feel strongly about and is nationally recognized, I honestly feel really lucky to be able to work with APK.
