WOD Wednesday 3-22-06

Speed, agility and strength-endurance...

APK Warmup

Workout- Measure a 20m course, and mark the middle.

Starting in the middle, sprint to the right, touch the line with your right hand, then sprint all the way to the left, touch the line with your left hand, then sprint back to the middle. In the middle, perform 20 pushups . Repeat x 3, rotating your starting direction each time. (so on the next run, start with a sprint to your left)

Rest 2:00

Start at one end and perform one shuttle run, up and back. Upon reaching your starting point, perform 20 jump squats . Rest :30 then repeat x 4

Rest 2:00

Start at one end, sprint to the other end, perform 5 burpees . Finish in the pushup position, and immediately sprint, from the ground, back to your starting point. Rest :10 and repeat x 5

If you have a chance, catch one or two individual splits from each interval. Otherwise, this is a relatively loosely timed workout, so just post general results, thoughts and comments to the comment section.

didnt catch yesterdays post in time. 
 
i did yesterday's workout in about 10 min in addition to 1 hr. breakdancing and 1 hr. dodgeball. :grin

Yesterdays workout [L-Pullups and HSPUs] took me 12:50!

Just wanted to give you props for designing some cool workouts over the last few weeks. Putting the substitutions up helps alot, and the routines have been clever and interesting, and not so routine. 
 
So, uh, props! Nice job.  
 
I look forward to trying this one after work today.

Since we got a fresh layer of snow today I decided to do yesterday's workout instead, which I missed. I also did about 50 situps and some side planks.

I agree this was a great workout, but from what I can gather out of ALL these posts, I'm the only one who has done it so far... things that make you go hmmmmm :roll  
Anyhooot, it took me about 20 min, give or take, I didn't keep exact time, just went out and kicked it. :grin

Worked legs via 5x5 squats earlier today amongst a few other things. Hit this up after class tonight, subbed squats for pushups and did 1/2 armed burpees...my legs were dead. Finished up with a forearm workout. Fun times :D

just invented a whole new way to feel weak!! decided to do some weighted pullups. All I have is a 20 pound dumbell, so first I ment with it between my legs, then I tried with it between my feet, then I tried to do an L-Sit pullup with it between my feet .. just getting to an L is impossible, and then trying to pullup is rediculous! fun fun :)

Splits: 
1: 1:57 (for first 2), 1:27 
2: 1:11, 1:25, 1:31, 1:31 (includes 30s rest) 
3: 0:36, 0:39, 0:39, 0:37, 0:37 (includes 10s rest) 
 
Ran the 1st part sideways left and right. Ran the 2nd part forward and backwards. Was this the intent? 
 
I liked 'em, but I recover from sprints quickly. Would have been good to have another set of something. Maybe started from the beginning again, but 1/2 the pushups, 1/2 the jump squats, and double the burpees.

That was more difficult than I thought it would be. It took me about 13 minutes to complete everything but I didn't catch any of the splits. I didn't recover from the sprints as easily as I thought I would. The shuttles + pushups and shuttles + burpees weren't all that bad. The shuttles + jumps squats killed me :x

I somehow had problems with the pushups. Maybe cause I just did planche training :)
